Omega, and EggNog Eggstravaganza

Last night was such a fun night! First, I started off with a little Christmas get together with my old Omega sisters. It is always a good time catching up with those girls. Usually the conversation turns into one about Vampire Diaries or Pretty Little Liars.. Which, lets be honest i am completely ok with both of those topics. We even had a nice little white elephant gift exchange! It was and always is fun seeing those girls. But mostly it just made me really miss Omega.
Clearly i meant to hold the "C" upside down

After our Omega party, i went over to the Annual 'NOG' party at Tyson's. HOLY SMOKES. i was thoroughly impressed by the crowd and the overall planning of this party. Tyson and his friends made like 7 huge things of homemade eggnog. Normally i am not a big fan of holiday concoction, but after hearing numerous rants and raves about how yummy this eggnog was, i decided to test it out for myself. Umm OK? i fell in love. It was seriously the besttttt eggnog i have ever had. Over the last 6 years these boys have tweaked and mastered their own perfect recipe. Impressive? VERY. I love those boys and it was such a blast mingling with everyone.

Seriously though this party was so dang cute. On the lawn of the yard was the word "nog" spelled out perfectly in christmas lights. Then, on the door hung a sign that said "welcome please NOG". As soon as you knocked, the door flew open and there stood Zach with his high tech camera to photograph everyone who arrived. Then, guests were asked to sign in on the "naughty or nice list". After that it was straight to the kitchen to get your cup of eggnog. Oh and we can't forget the "NOG parade" and the visit from dear old St. Nic himself! How cute right?
Hay. Whit, Mandy. Love these two.
We grew up playing soccer together when we were little teens :)

I love these boys so much. we go wayyy back. (oh and you can see the Naughty and nice list)

lights with the fam

Every year my family has a tradition of going down to see the lights at temple square. It always ends up being an adventure.. i mean we are talking about the Hansen family here. Tonight was no different. Mom forgot to put the SD card in the camera, which left us with only Kali's iphone to take pictures. We were all a little disappointed cuz i mean, isnt that the reason you go to see the lights anyway?..to take pictures?.. We still ended up having a great time. We later came home and had Tim Tams for dessert. HEAVENLY. it was the first slammin sesh i have had this year, and i am glad i waited. Kali's commentary provided some great laughs.. "if i'm gonna slam i'm gonna enjoy it!" no sexual innuendo intended. Gosh i love my family.

Halloween

Wow i am such an awesome blogger. Really.. a week after Halloween and i haven't even shown off my pictures! Halloween is seriously one of my favoriteee holidays. i love dressing up! and every year i have the best ideas what to dress up as.. the only problem is.. these ideas come after halloween! what the crap. This year i had high hopes for myself and ended up being a last minute witch. See the problem?  How does Halloween sneak up so fast?! I still had an awesome Halloween and i loved hanging out with my girl Scottie. We went to a few lame parties and somehow still managed to make each other laugh. Our favorite thing to do is to act like legit crazy chicks.. like we have random way loud fake laugh attacks and watch as people just stare at us. This usually leads to us 'real laughing' to the point we literally can't stop. Ok now that you know how lame we are, i promise you we have this weird ability to make fun wherever we go. It was awesome. Oh and Scottie.."what were you again?!" hahahahah love you girl!

The witch is in
typical mother making me and the sis take pics together in our costumes

Just loving the AWESOME parties. hahahahahahahaha
Best cosume of the night goes to this guy...... he looked legitttt.

Now that i have done my Halloween post.. i can officially Welcome November! I'll be honest... Thanksgiving isn't one of my favorite holidays. I'm not a huge fan of the whole thanksgiving dinner menu.. Turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing? not my exact forte, but i'll definitely take some of grandma's rolls! In my opinion it is a little over rated. BUT any excuse to be with my family, express thanks, and get out of school is totallyyyyy worth it. Bring on the turkey!

Oh The Day of Loveee

Holy moly time is sure flying! This boy is just so amazing and i am so grateful to have him in my life :)

Reflecting

Well the year 2010 was certainly good to me! I had so many amazing experiences, decisions, memories, and fun times that I will remember forever. Every year i make a year end video of pictures and movies that i have gathered over the past year starting with pics from the previous New Years Eve. This years was so hard to decide what to put in, and what to leave out...ahh depressing! I know it is long, but i promise it will be a good waste of 10 minutes! If you dont know me too well, it might be boring, but there are certainly some great and funny videos that accompany this look back. And plus it is more for my memory and my kids to look at someday!
Take a look, let me know what ya think.

Christmas day

Christmas this year was so great. I got a lot of fun and cute gifts...Santa definitely spoiled me. I was especially excited that i got a new camera! My camera that i LOVED had broken like 2 weeks before Christmas and i was ecstatic to see that i had gotten the upgraded version of my old one! It is sweet, 12 mega pixels, 12x zoom, and HD video. Awesome right? I also got some new perfume, some new clothes, two new pea coats, and some way cute accessories. It was so great to just spend time with the family and relax for the day.

I have to say.. the best part about Christmas was definitely the phone call i received that morning around 7:30. :) GAHHHH!! That boy.. still somehow just makes my heart skip a beat.. even with a simple "hi hay!" It was seriously the best thing to wake up to! Just talking to him for the short amount of time that we did made me twitterpated for the rest of the day. i am an official nerd. We talked mostly about his mission and how Elder Scott is coming because he thinks they might open a stake in Mozambique--which would be so cool! We talked a little bit about school, work and just life in general. It was so fun i cant even describe. He sounded just the same.. this time there was no accent, and no weird english. Except he did keep asking me "is that a normal way to say that?..like how would you say that?" It was hilarious! Later on i commented on how he didnt have an accent and his response was.."Well duh Hay! i brought my 'A' game english!" ahah what a nerd. He is doing so well and i couldnt be more proud of him and how hard he is working. I also loved hearing how his perspective has changed. He commented on how boring his letters have gotten because "everything i use to think was so crazy and weird, is now just so normal and expected." I absolutely loved hearing him talk about how much he loved the people he was teaching. He has truly immersed himself in the work and is so close to Christ. I love it. It definitely has helped me keep my perspective on what is important! We just a have a little over 5 and half months til he is home!!.....Still not letting myself get too trunky yet... :)

Christmas Eve

Wow i have so much to catch up on! Christmas break has treated me so well.. lets talk about christmas eve. Every year we go to my grandma Tuckers house and eat dinner, chat, play games, and open a few Christmas gifts. Oh and we always take the traditional family Christmas photo..
This year it turned out pretty decent if ya ask me! It is always fun to be at grandma and grandpa's, and i was especially grateful to have my grandpa with us this year. After some heart issues this year we realize just how blessed we were to have him still with us. I have the best family!
We got our traditional Christmas pajamas and i LOVED mine. The sweatshirt is my favorite. We always act out the nativity, and seeming that all of us kids are quite grown up it makes for the funniest nativity around! I was the narrator this year and i have to say that was the best job! :) We then went home and exchanged our sibling gifts, Kali got me the cutest pair of runners spandex, and i got chandler a giftcard so he could buy some Ute sweats. It was a fun Christmas eve besides the fact i didnt sleep at all that night cuz i was too worried about sleeping through a certain phonecall! :) but we will talk about that later  :)

Kicks Gift Exchange

Last night was the annual kicks gift exchange. Usually we go to dinner and to temple square, but this year we had a hard time finding a time that we could get together. Brooke is flying out to Chicago to have her wedding reception for Dan's family on the 26, and seeming that today is christmas eve, and tomorrow christmas, it didn't really give us a ton of time for us all to have a night out. We met up at Chili's to have appetizers and desserts last night at 9:30. It was soo fun being with all the girls again. It is crazy to see the pictures and movies from last years exchange. None of the 6 were married, and now 2 are married, with one maybe coming soon! Jaim is dating someone pretty serious so we will see what happens there! But how exciting right?! It is a fun time in our lives but it was nice to have a night out to ourselves. And as always, everyone got adorable gifts!
Jaim had me and she got me the cutest earrings, scarf, and socks! I am sooo excited to wear them!

I had Dutson, and i got her a sweatshirt at Aerie, and some jewelry. Plus i owed her 42 bucks so she also got that! finally.
Brooke had Steph and got her a sweet hat, (total steph hat) and a cardigan.
Jess had brooke and got her some cute sweats to wear while she is in Chicago with Dan's family. Jess got some cute gloves and some other stuff from Steph.

It was such a fun night. I wish i would have gotten a picture of the whole group but Brooke said she will email me hers. When i get it i will for sure share it all with you. I love my friends and i am excited to see where we all are next December!

Dessert night

Monday was the annual Hansen family dessert night. My mom bakes ridiculous amounts of yummy treats and invites the whole neighborhood over for dessert. It is a fun tradition that we look forward to every year!

Love these girls! My roommates are the best!!! I  miss living with them so much.

Jess and I. Best friends since forever!

Even Linda and Trevor stopped by. This isnt the greatest picture but i was so happy to sit and chat with them!

Mo Tab and David

Last night my family had tickets to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir performance feat David Archuletta! I somehow ended up with the two tickets and asked Dut if she would come with me. We rode trax down and waited in the huge mass of people, got in our seats early, and waited. Oh my gosh. Words cant even describe the feelings and spirit felt. It was so amazing to say the least! I have to admit that i wasnt the biggest David fan... but after last night... heck that kid has a new number one fan! He is soo talented and just the sweetest most humble kid ever. There were multiple times when dut and i would look at each other only too see our eyes gushing water everywhere! To say that i loved it is definitely an understatement.
Just Dut and i on our date night together! Funniest part of the night was when miraculously the doors opened on trax as it was driving away and we somehow managed to jump on! so funny!

Happy Howl!

Halloween is my favorite time of the year! I know that is kinda weird.. but i love everything about fall. i love the leaves, the cold nights, the hot chocolate, the football games, haunted houses, dressing up crazy, and everything else. This week was my first time going to a haunted house in almost 2 years.. since i didnt get to go last year! boo! but it was so fun and such a blast. I love everything about haunted houses and cant wait to go to another one!
The Haunted Forest gang..Kim, Trevor (deb), Eric, Alex, haley, Scottie, and Sean

This creepy guy was walking around scaring people before we even walked in. hahah he had the funniest laugh.
