Mr. and Mrs. Broadhead!

Well its official! Another one of the kicks is a married woman! Jaimie got married last saturday and it was the most perfect day. Well except our little mishap. For some reason us girls have been late to EVERY single wedding. Dutson, Steph, and I, had planned to drive to the temple that morning together. We planned to meet at Dut's house that morning at 12:15 to be sure that we would make it to the temple on time. Jaim's sealing was scheduled at 12:20 so we were positive that we would have plenty of time to spare. Well long story short.. Dut's little sister ended up in the hospital that morning which left Hay stuck in Provo! We ended up leaving about 20 minutes late but still figured we would get there in time. We were just hitting 33rd south when the phones started ringing.."Hurry she's about to come out!" "Where are you guys?" Ahhhhh it sent us all into stress mode! Anddd to make matters worse, we were in Hay's little Geo Tracker.. aka.. maxes out at like 75mph. We scored a good parking spot (thanks to steph and brooke's mom) and booked it to the temple! We got there right in time (and even a little to spare). The photographer somehow got lost which postponed the happy couple coming out on time.. thank goodness!

Jaim looked gorgeous and so happy and at ease. It was so fun being with the girls again. We are all so busy and can hardly find a time when we can all get together. Congrats to the new couple.. Mr. and Mrs. Broadhead!!

Abandoned

Well let it be known that i have severely neglected my blog in the last month. Lets just say i have been one busy gal! So... quick update on the last month or so:

Had the best April Fools Day yet. Let it be known that April fools is one of my favorite holidays. Day included 12 yr old brother crying... twice.

Went to St. George (of course) for a quick vaca with the family. Activities included: baseball games, hiking, hanging with friends, and getting veryyyyy sunburnt.

wrapped up some major projects for the semester.. including one that involved volunteering for RTC. So glad school is FINALLLY OVER. can i get a HOO-RAH?

Comm 3030 class project: Assist a nonprofit. we chose Reach The Children. 

Got my flights confirmed for Italy! i cant wait to see my cute aunt, uncle and cousins.

So excited to see these cute girls. I'm thinking going dark again. What do ya think?

Prep for Africa continues... can i just say how excited i am to go back?!!

Have i told you how much i love weddings? by the end of this weekend i will have gone to 5 weddings in one week. HOLY MOLY. i love them so much. call me a freak.

Jaimie is Engaged!!

Well it is official! Another one of the six kicks is getting hitched. How exciting! Jaim got engaged a few weeks ago but i just havent gotten around to blogging about it. I am pathetic! But how cute is this couple?

Jaimie and Chad met through a blind date last...i wanna say last.. October ish?  Jaimie's childhood best friend lined them up to go to the Brad Paisley concert together. I think that's who it was? Anywayyy... they totally hit it off and have practically been inseparable ever since. They are set to be married May 21, 2011, in the Salt Lake temple. I am so happy for these two. They are seriously perfect together and i cant wait to see her in a wedding dress! ahhh

Confession of an Obsession

Ok here it goes..I feel like i have a slight weird obsession that i have to admit to all my faithful followers haha ...whoever you may be? My dear friend Kylee already knows of this obsession because she too shares the same love. I have been thinking about this doing this post for awhile now and i am finally getting up the nerves to go for it. I just know the suspense is killing you so i will just say it..

I love weddings!

I know creepy.. right? weird? abnormal?? I KNOW PEOPLE. But i have always loved them. Ever since i was little i have loved going to weddings with my parents. Everything from the bride's dress, the centerpieces, the bouquet, the tuxes, the pictures, the food, the wedding video, the colors, the themes---it all completely intrigues me! My favorite part though is observing the newlyweds... the way they look at each other says it all and i absolutely LOVE that. Now now now.. i know what you are thinking.. "haley just really wants to get married!" or "haley just really needs to get married"... both of the above are soo wrong! I am in no hurry to get married, no hurry to plan a wedding, and quite frankly no hurry to have to stress over any of those things, but maybe that is why the obsession is so awesome? because i dont really have to worry about it at all! I love stalking wedding blogs, photographer wedding portfolios, facebook albums, and florist websites.. basically anything to do with weddings. I have two favorites.. The Perfect Palette, and Utah Bride Blog. I could look at these two websites literally ALL day long. Freaky i know. you dont even have to tell me.

The one weird thing about this obsession ...you would think i know exactly what i want for my future wedding(who knows when the crap that will be haha) But.. i can assure you that i definitely do not! Of course i have a TON of ideas in my head of color schemes, flowers, pictures, etc, buut as soon as i think i have a good grasp on something.. the next day it completely changes. haha Does that bother me? ....nope not one bit considering i dont even have a good reason to think about all this stuff right now! Someday i am sure i will know exactly what i want, but for now, i can call this crazy obsession a hobby. I have to admit.. i was semi upset about the 'pantone color of the year' this year. Pantone comes out with the 'wedding color of the year' every year and is very well known to set the color trends for the following year. For example, last years color was the light tiffany blue. Trend? ABSOLUTELY.

 ....This years color? The exact pink that i have always loved. I guess i will be seeing a lot of pink weddings this year! gahhhh!!!!

Although i am upset.. i have to admit my current love is... gray and pink. 

I dont love this pink.. but I LOVE gray. (the perfect palette)

My BF is Married!

Its official.. my long time childhood best friend is a married woman! Lexi and Brock sealed the deal on Saturday in the Draper, UT temple. I was so fun seeing them and how happy they were. I felt so lucky to have been able to spend the night before the wedding with Lexi at her apartment. We had so much fun catchin up and i am so grateful for her friendship! Seriously Lexi has and always will be my best friend. She has so many qualities that i wish to aquire.. and to see her so extremely happy brought me to tears.

I love all these girls! Lexi, Breanna, Jenny, and I were the neighborhood terrors when we were children. We were always up to no good and we have sooo many funny stories to tell about it. There were numerous times we were chased by dogs, kids, and crazy parents trying to catch us doorbell ditching. Once we even got chased by a girl carrying ski poles. hahah too funny!

I loved hanging out with Lexi's friends that i met last year in AZ at Ians wedding. If you dont remember how Lexi and Brock hooked up.. read here. If you wanna hear about my trip last year.. read here :)

Lexi's dad Jordan was our soccer coach all while growing up. I remember it was so hard for me to refer to him as COACH Jordan and not just Jordan. He was like my second dad and it is always fun seeing him and catchin up.

Me and Lex.. this girl is the most genuine caring person i have ever met. She is so sincere with every one she comes in contact with. I seriously wish i had her attitude and zeal for life.

This picture sums up lexi's and my relationship. I love this girl and am so extremely happy for her. She found the most amazing man and married him for time and all eternity. They have the best relationship and i absolutely adore them both.

Brookie is a MARRIED woman!

Saturday was the big day!.... Brooke got married! Seriously she looked amazing and was absolutely glowing. It was so fun seeing her walk out of the temple and knowing that they are sealed together forever. All of us teared up a bit as we huddled around to congratulate her! The reception was gorgeous and everything went off perfectly! She is on her honeymoon in Aruba right now.. and i am so jealous! Congrats Mr. and Mrs. Springer!! :)

Brookie's Bridal Shower

Last night we had a Bridal shower for my friend Brooke! i am sure you guys remember when she got engaged? if not.. click here. Welp she gets married in a few weeks so we threw her a grocery bridal shower at my house. It was fun seeing people from high school and celebrating her upcoming big day!

Jess And Evan

Jess and Evan are finally married. They have dated since they were in 9th grade.. and now, 4 years later are finally married! They seriously are the perfect couple, and honestly all through high school we referred to them as "the married couple". It is nice that the statement is finally true!

My dear friend Evan! i have known Evan since i was in about 7th grade or so. They moved into our ward and i could see their front yard from my backyard. When i was little, I would always jump on the tramp so i could see Evan and Ben playing baseball! haha

Engaged

Welp another one of my friends is ENGAGED! Just want to say congrats to my best friend Lexi Dahl, soon to be Lexi Stuart! She and her boyfriend Brock got engaged last weekend and i am so excited for her! These two could not be more perfect for each other it is kinda ridiculous.

Lexi and I have been friends since preschool. We grew up walking to each others houses, riding bikes to school, playing soccer, doorbell ditching, and being the little mischiefs of the neighborhood. When lexi moved in 8th grade to Arizona i was devastated! We continued to be friends even though we only saw each other once or twice a year.

Every time we are together it is like we were never apart. We could talk for hours and although we did most of our 'growing up' apart from each other, we are both so much alike! I credit a lot of my personality to lexi. When we were little, she was always the one to make me do things that i normally wouldn't do. "HALEY JUST DO IT! Are you scared? You wuss. Wow you're a sissy girl!" These were constant comments coming out of Lexi's mouth. I got in more trouble with Lexi than i have in my entire life, but i wouldn't trade those times for anything!

Lexi and Brock are seriously meant for each other. Last summer a bunch of us went down to AZ for Lexi's brother Ian's wedding. Of course, Brock, being one of Ian's best friends was in attendance. Lexi and Brock hit it off. Although they have known each other since we were tiny, it was this weekend that their relationship blossomed. I could see it in their eyes that they were falling hard and fast!

Nothing really happened that weekend between the two, but as soon as we left i could tell this relationship was going somewhere! They texted and talked on the phone all day, every day. Soon enough they were a couple, and began visiting each other as often as they could! They are scheduled to be married on August 14, 2010 in the Mt Timpanogos Temple. These two are a perfect pair.. who else would give me 'credit cards' while holding hands and walking through church? Only these two. I am so excited for these love birds!

Just want to throw out a CONGRATULATIONS to my bestie Lori Brooke and her fiance Dan Springer! They were engaged last night downtown at The Roof. Brooke was completely surprised and couldn't be more happy. The date is set for August 21, 2010 in the Salt Lake Temple.

I am so excited for Brooke! I can tell how much she loves Dan and i am so glad and grateful that he came into her life! i have never seen Brooke this happy before and i honestly am so ecstatic for her! Congrats again you two love birds!

It is pretty crazy to me that my friends are beginning to get married. It is so weird that i am now at the age where i could get married! I remember being in sixth grade and thinking that 19 year olds leaving on missions were soo OLD! And to think that my missionary friends are all coming home this fall.. it blows my mind that i am going to be that OLD. I actually have RM friends.? really..? Life is just crazy. I am beginning to get the feeling that i am never going to feel 'old'... but that it just happens. WHAT A SCARY THOUGHT! Life is going by too fast for comfort.. and in some areas i am completely ok with that.. In others.. time just needs to slow down!
