CSSC Girls

This week i had the chance to get together with my old soccer team. I was seriously sooo excited to see all these girls--and you believe it has pretty much been 4 years since we have officially gotten together! These girls completely changed the way i viewed the game of soccer. Around my sophomore year of high school i realized that in order to move forward in my soccer career i was going to need to change teams. I was really stressed about the decision, because i really didnt want to play for any of the teams in the Sandy/Salt Lake area. I considered this team--Celtic Storm--but wasnt too serious about it seeming that they were located out of Orem. I went to try-outs anyway, and ended up making the team. I literally didnt know a single soul on the whole team. I was starting fresh and i was terrified. But these girls completely welcomed me with open arms and have become women that i look up to in more ways than just on the soccer field. They made me want to be a better person, a better member of the church, and a better soccer player. I seriously love these girls to pieces!

Needless to say it was crazy getting together and catching up with these ladies. I think there were about 12 of us that showed up. I figured out some stats of the girls there.. so here's some interesting facts for ya..

6:18 are married.. i think?
4:12 (the girls there... married)
10:12 will be engaged/married in the next 6 months
1:12 is considering a mission
2:12 are single and just hangin out
2:12 are still playing college soccer..(1 season left)
12:12 are playing soccer for fun :)

I am so sad that i didnt get a picture with all of us.. but i did get one of us girls that stayed and chatted! i love these girls and can't wait to see where they end up. They all have such strong testimonies of the gospel, and i left feeling uplifted and had a more positive outlook on my life. I am grateful for the advice shared, the testimonies born (not in a weird way), and the experiences and growth i have experienced with these girls. i already cant wait for our next get together! I guarantee someone will have a baby! crazyyyyy but oh so exciting :)

Omega, and EggNog Eggstravaganza

Last night was such a fun night! First, I started off with a little Christmas get together with my old Omega sisters. It is always a good time catching up with those girls. Usually the conversation turns into one about Vampire Diaries or Pretty Little Liars.. Which, lets be honest i am completely ok with both of those topics. We even had a nice little white elephant gift exchange! It was and always is fun seeing those girls. But mostly it just made me really miss Omega.
Clearly i meant to hold the "C" upside down
Hay. Nina. Scottie.
Africa Chickssss
The gang
After our Omega party, i went over to the Annual 'NOG' party at Tyson's. HOLY SMOKES. i was thoroughly impressed by the crowd and the overall planning of this party. Tyson and his friends made like 7 huge things of homemade eggnog. Normally i am not a big fan of holiday concoction, but after hearing numerous rants and raves about how yummy this eggnog was, i decided to test it out for myself. Umm OK? i fell in love. It was seriously the besttttt eggnog i have ever had. Over the last 6 years these boys have tweaked and mastered their own perfect recipe. Impressive? VERY. I love those boys and it was such a blast mingling with everyone.

Seriously though this party was so dang cute. On the lawn of the yard was the word "nog" spelled out perfectly in christmas lights. Then, on the door hung a sign that said "welcome please NOG". As soon as you knocked, the door flew open and there stood Zach with his high tech camera to photograph everyone who arrived. Then, guests were asked to sign in on the "naughty or nice list". After that it was straight to the kitchen to get your cup of eggnog. Oh and we can't forget the "NOG parade" and the visit from dear old St. Nic himself! How cute right?
Hay. Whit, Mandy. Love these two.
We grew up playing soccer together when we were little teens :)
Good ol Santa
Paigey and I
 Omega sisters and dear friends
The founders of the party. Zach and Tyson.
I love these boys so much. we go wayyy back. (oh and you can see the Naughty and nice list)
The NOG man himself. look at that stache!

lights with the fam

Every year my family has a tradition of going down to see the lights at temple square. It always ends up being an adventure.. i mean we are talking about the Hansen family here. Tonight was no different. Mom forgot to put the SD card in the camera, which left us with only Kali's iphone to take pictures. We were all a little disappointed cuz i mean, isnt that the reason you go to see the lights anyway?..to take pictures?.. We still ended up having a great time. We later came home and had Tim Tams for dessert. HEAVENLY. it was the first slammin sesh i have had this year, and i am glad i waited. Kali's commentary provided some great laughs.. "if i'm gonna slam i'm gonna enjoy it!" no sexual innuendo intended. Gosh i love my family.

the finals week look

So what if i use finals week as an excuse to not get ready? Today i wore my VS sweatpants, and a new crew neck hoodie that i got last week...via Cyber Monday. Steal of a deal i tell ya. But i think the best part is my hair piled up on top of my head. I'm loving the fact that i can put my hair in a nice little sock bun and call it good. Loving the sock bun look this week. And you better believe i'm gonna keep rockin it. Good luck on your finals lovelies! finish strong!
Naturally while i am studying i decide to write a blog post about my hair, so i take pictures on my webcam. What the heck? As you can tell i will be reallyyyy glad when finals are over! Procrastination at its finest people.
Ps i promise my hair isn't jet black like it looks here. And i'm not trying to look like an asian.. maybe the whole cinnamon bun/dark hair isn't such a good idea after all?

the reason

OK Ok i knowww how annoying it is that i went private. and i am sooo sorry! Having to log in everyyy time you want to read my blog? talk about frustrating. But i can most definitely assure you that it will just be for the time being. With all the CRAP that has been going on in my life lately, i finally realized i just need to simplify. Fly under the radar for a bit. Don't get me wrong.. I LOVE love twitter, Facebook, blogs, and all that other good stuff. But lately it has been biting me in the freakin butt. SO what do i do? privatize my life and shut things down. Good bye to Facebook. Good bye to twitter. And hello to private blog. At least for awhile. And hopefully this keeps things like

Random people emailing me about Benjamin:
Ps: if you know anything about this fake person.. let me know :)

Mysterious people making fake twitter accounts just to pester me about my love life..and then pretending like they "have the wrong person"..

Anonymous numbers texting me rude/judgmental things:
...........you remember that post?... yeah well i got another one last week. This person is sooo awesome!

Oh and lets not forget about the whole.. "some one hacked my email, and facebook, and reset all the passwords.." Yeah that totally happened. Twice actually. Also, it all happened while i was logged in on facebook, and i got the email at the same time saying i had requested a password change? So i knew something was up. And fixed it immediately. Then, not ten minutes later the exact same thing happened. So i fixed it again, and ohhh wait, the next morning i woke up and passwords were changed again! how in the world does that even happen? I promise my passwords are so hard. Sometimes i cant even remember them. Oh andddd someone hacked AGAIN more recently, and reset all my facebook settings. So no one could post on my wall, and certain people were blocked.  Seriously in the past month or so i have reset ALL my passwords probably about 10 times. And that is nooo exaggeration. So finally, i am done. done with the drama. done with the world getting involved in my life. and done with social media. At least til i feel like i have my life figured out.

So thank you for coming along this little adventure with me. i love you readers. every single one of you. Thats why you got an invite to come along. I'll be a good blogger now since i dont have all that other ish to keep up on!

Going private

In a reach to simplify my life, I've decided to go private. I know it's annoying and it sucks, but I'm at least gonna do it for the time being. With that being said, if you are some random person I've never met, we are blogger friends, or if you're my neighbor down the street, I would loveee for you to continue reading. So leave me your email in a comment and we'll get this in the works. I'm deleting my Facebook as well. And while this won't be permanent I dont wanna lose you readers. love you all and hope ya understand! xoxoxo

The do

Maybe my skin looks slightly yellow but we'll blame that on instagram. I love my new hair color.. It's super dark, but as we all know, it will lighten over the next while. It still kinda scares me when i look in the mirror! Haha. I love changing up my hair.. In fact, I've decided I just love change all together. Well, except when it deals with snow, lack of sunshine, and freezing toes.

ok sooo maybe i love her a lot

dont judge the fact i teared up in this video...

new obsession

sooo i recently discovered this new site.. it's called flavorme. It is sooo dumb yet sooo awesome! Basically it streams all your apps and social media into one website. I haven't paid for the upgrade yet, so mine is still kinda in the works. It allows you to set background pics, fonts, manage blogs, twitter, FB, apps, etc. Anyway i can't really explain it better than that.. but check mine out and maybe think about starting your own. It's free people! let me know what you think
