Spring Break 2011

How awesome was Spring Break? SO Awesome. I loved every minute of it. I headed down to St George (of course) and hung out with my pals down yonder. It rained Sunday and Monday, but honestly i really didn't mind too much. We had our poncho's and we were taken care of :)
I was so happy that i got to watch some baseball games while i was there. I have some really good friends on the team and i just love baseball so it was great.

Wednesday i laid out all afternoon. It wasn't that warm and i was sure that i wasn't getting burnt. Little did i know..when i went inside i was fried! I think part of it was because of this medicine i am on right now that makes my skin super sensitive.. but still! i never burn. talk about frustrating. I was still completely satisfied with my tan though. Paige, Ammon, and I went shopping that night.. unfortunately i didnt find one thing! I did however get a chance to wear one of my new shirts that i bought at Kohls awhile ago.. remember that blog post? TOo bad i didnt really get any good pictures of me in it!

My last night in St. George we decided we wanted to play Spoons... You can see how well that went..
Gosh i love my roommates so much. And Am is pretty great too. i always love visiting st george! I headed home on thursday afternoon and headed straight up to this girls wedding reception!
Skwig and I at our signing party senior year. She played for Idaho State.
Meet Skwig. Also known as Ashley Askwig. Now, known as Ashley Irvin. Skwig and i grew up playing soccer against each other. We reunited our senior year when she came to play with Celtic Storm. Since we were commuting to Orem everyday for practice we got to be really close friends. I love this girl sooo much! Her wedding was gorgeous and she looked beautiful. Congrats to Skwig and Steve!

Saturday was the festival of colors.. but i will do a post specifically for that day. it was sooo great! so be stoked. now i just have to focus on my last few weeks of school! eeeeekkkk!!

St G. Vegas. Weddings. Friends.

Last weekend i took the much needed break and headed down to st george. Seriously though how much can a girl talk about loving one place? With two jobs, going to school full time, and planning for Africa, i honestly don't have too much extra time.  This last weekend was seriously perfect in every way and i am so glad i took the opportunity to go to george when i had 3 free days!
Teisha. Alex. Ammon. Haley.
Am and I playing Mini Bowling. Way fun.
The trip was amazing and included some great things. who doesnt love a spur of the moment trip to vegas to watch Jimmer play? i know i am no byu fan, but when they got a man like that i cant deny his skills. Deciding not to spend $135 to get into the game proved to be a good decision. (duh! and thank goodness!) Figuring out our GPS was crap sure gave us the scenic route of vegas. Finding a random sports grill with 31431343 flat screens to watch Jimmer drop 52 was beyond lucky. Accompanied by 151385948592 other mormon byu fans and drunk new mexico fans. so great. Oh and we cant forget about the free arcade. That's right.. i said free games. Unlimited actually. I beat Am in basketball 3 times. every single time by one point. talk about buzzer beaters. He is probably still crying about it.
Min. Hay. Whit. Going to Skwigs wedding reception. How pretty is that background?
Saturday included laying out with whit and getting fried! Yay for the first tan of the year! Then it was off to two wedding receptions. What is with everyone getting married? But weddings do make me happy as you all know. Min took one for the team at the second reception. Who else hates the awkward handshake-hug confusion? it provided me with some good laugh. I love whit and min. They are seriously the best!!! Then we headed home where Alicia and Courtney came over and we watched one of my all time favorites: Matilda.
Min. Paige. Hay. Whit.
Guys i promise i am not preggo. I packed horribly for this trip as you can tell by the babydoll style shirt with the ruffled skirt?
Did i mention that the super skinny gorgeous girl in teal went through the temple on saturday? She was absolutely glowing all day. I loved catching up and talking with paige. She is such an amazing woman! She is supposed to be going to the Independence, Missouri Mission in May, but... lets just say she might be going to the temple for a different reason this summer. Who knows. i am excited to see what happens!

Sunday included SPRINGING FORWARD. yup shoot me. I was so tired for church. And for some reason all of us going to church together makes us irreverent.  But i did get to sit by Mr Ammon and that made me somewhat more reverent. The trip came to an end way too fast.. but the good news is i am going back this sunday!
 HELLO SPRING BREAK!
Seriously though can spring break come any quicker?
i am so sick of school. get me outta that place!
and really. Where is the month of March going?
already half way done? whaaaa?

Lately

It has been over a week since my last post.
i always promise myself i am going to get better at blogging. nothing has changed...lets be honest.
Well in the last week a lot has happened. But nothing too exciting so don't get all rallied up.

Omega became the Lambda Delta Sigma Volleyball Champions. It was a close few games with Gamma, but we came out victorious. They provided us with the most delicious yogurt, granola, and frozen fruit ever. I decided it's my new favorite breakfast.

Last weekend was date night for all the sororities. I was really wishing that i had some sort of a crush that i could possibly take. However my life is just so unexciting that something like that wasnt quite possible. I decided to take the dear boy carson. For those of you who dont know carsy.. well he happens to be Benjamin's man crush. Those two boys are honestly quite the pair. Anyway.. back to the date. We went to Hires Big H for din din. Dont worry growing up it was my favorite restaurant because my dad always told me it was 'my restaurant' seeming that the  'H' stood for Haley. cute right? Then it was off to the game. The game was fun. Nose bleeds are the best. Top of the nose bleeds might i add. Playing keep away and PIG with a squishy ball and a garbage can proved more entertaining than watching the jazz. Almost drilling a lady with my 'fast pitch' was potentially game ending and screaming annoyingly loud to frustrate the people in front of us was quite immature. but it made the night that much better.

Tuesday while waiting to cross the street up on campus, i decided i officially hate people like the jerk in this movie. "kids at the bottom of the street" = me. Yup drenched in slush before my day even started.

I also decided that i can't even wait for my trip to St. George this weekend. It's supposed to be 75 degrees and clear skies. I know.. perfection right? Plans include: laying out. shopping trip to vegas. possible attendance at the BYU ncaa tourney game. two wedding receptions. swimming. partying with my roommates. and multiple heart to hearts.

Also random question.. does anyone have a good remedy for chapped lips and dry skin? this winter weather is getting the best of me.

ok that's all for tonight. see ya partners.

Do you know you are Lucky?!
